Money should have a friend on your side.
In Sanskrit and Hindi, "Mitra" means friend. TheMoneyMitra exists to bring calm, quiet transparency to your finances without pitching you debt.
The story behind the app
Over the last decade, Indian consumer tech made extraordinary progress in digital payments. Through UPI, sending money became instantaneous and effortless. But keeping track of where it all went became vastly harder.
The first generation of expense tracking apps in India started with promise. But as venture funding pressured them for rapid monetization, almost all of them mutated into credit marketplaces. Their primary business model became reading your transaction alerts to discover your financial habits, and then bombarding you with pre-approved personal loans, revolving credit lines, and sponsored credit cards.
TheMoneyMitra was founded on a simple counter-premise: personal finance software should be a quiet, loyal tool on your side. It shouldn't push notifications at dinner time, shouldn't lecture you for spending on things you love, and must never treat your financial history as advertising inventory.

We do not measure success by transaction volume processed, venture capital raised, or media coverage. Our mission is to reach one thousand individuals and families across India who track their month with TheMoneyMitra, close the app feeling calm, and return next week.
Be one of the first to track with calm.
